– Mobilizing humanitarian aid and employment for Ukraine
EU4UA.org had an ambitious goal: to ride the wave of generosity towards Ukraine, recruit 20,000 hosts, communicate with displaced Ukrainian populations, and support their return to employment. However, achieving these humanitarian and social objectives on a large scale required an effective digital strategy and a visible presence in Europe.
The Stakes
The challenge was threefold: first, to capture the attention and generosity of the European public to recruit 20,000 hosts willing to welcome Ukrainian refugees; second, to communicate effectively with the displaced Ukrainian populations themselves; and finally, to provide them with concrete support in their professional reintegration and return to employment.
The Solution Implemented
To meet this major humanitarian challenge, Ads for Change has deployed a strategic and tailored digital strategy:
Firstly, launching Google Ad Grants campaigns across Europe in five different languages allowed us to reach a massive, multilingual audience. This approach ensured maximum visibility among people likely to engage.
Secondly, agile budget management enabled continuous adjustment of supply and demand, thus optimizing every euro spent to maximize humanitarian impact.
Finally, keyword optimization refined targeting and improved traffic relevance, ensuring that the right people reached EU4UA.org at the right time.
Results Obtained
The results exceeded expectations and demonstrate the real impact of a well-executed digital strategy in service of a humanitarian cause:
2,000 refugees registered via Google Ad Grants in just six months, proving the effectiveness of multilingual and cross-European targeting. An additional 200 host families registered on the platform, directly contributing to the goal of recruiting host families. Even more impressively, 1,200 applications were submitted for available jobs, demonstrating the success of the support provided for professional reintegration.
