Google Ad Grants Account: New Simplified Process
What are Google Ad Grants?
The Old Process via Solidatech and TechSoup
Previously, nonprofits interested in Google Ad Grants had to go through Solidatech and TechSoup to obtain an account. These platforms acted as intermediaries between nonprofits and Google, facilitating the registration and eligibility verification process. However, while these platforms were helpful, they could sometimes lead to delays of more than four weeks and administrative complications.
The new process through Percent has several key differences compared to the old process through Solidatech and TechSoup:
a. Simplification and speed:
Percent makes it easier to apply for a Google Ad Grants account. Nonprofits can apply directly to Google for Nonprofits, thus avoiding the additional steps related to Solidatech and TechSoup. This allows for faster processing of the request and reduces waiting times by more than 2-3 weeks.
b. A support service that responds in case of problems.
Key steps of the new process
1. Apply to Google for Nonprofits (5 min):
Interested associations fill out a reclassification form, indicating their name/RNA number, their cause and their contact details.
2. Assessment and planning:
Following requalification, the Percent team carefully reviews the information provided by the association and assesses its eligibility for Google Ad Grants within 5 business days. Requests for clarification and documentation may be requested.
3. Activate the Google Ad Grants offer:
Once your organization is verified on Google for Nonprofits, you can log in to your account, click “Activate Products” and then “Get Started” in the Google Ad Grants block to fill out the form, which has remained the same.
Percent's new process for obtaining a Google Ad Grants account offers nonprofits a streamlined approach. By eliminating middlemen and offering complete account management, Percent allows nonprofits to focus on their core mission while benefiting from optimized advertising campaigns.
